w124 300CE Manual gearbox problem!

Hi, my 300CE is getting it's revenge for being left alone for a couple of months! It's been an ongoing restoration project, but as I have no garage, work during the winter is problematic... Anyway, I keep the battery charged up, start the car and run it up and down the drive to keep things mobile, (SORN)..... however, when I moved it today, I discovered that I cannot engage the reverse gear, no matter how hard I pull & push the gear lever (Manual). The car has been parked on a slight incline, rear downwards, I cannot say if I left it in reverse gear at any stage!
Any help in identifying what the potential problems may be wil be gratefully received...

(All forward gears working fine, without difficulty in changing)

Quite likely to be the rubbers on the change levers at the gearbox end. Change all three and get a 'like new' gearbox. Buy the three spring clips while you're at it.
