Cruising on the M25 @ around 90mph when hit a stretch of roadworks speed restricted zone of 50mph, gently pushed the brake pedal to bring speed to around 50mph when I noticed that the ABS yellow light had come on in the dash console......stayed on after then until I reached destination. On return journey, the light remained off and has not come on since.......just a glitch or early warning of ABS system failure? Any checks required?

Hi, mine does exactly the same thing..... usually once i go over 85mph it comes on and wont go off until the car has been stopped and restarted.... I was told that the sensors needed cleaning???? Someone with more knowledge will be along to assist you soon .....

I had this quite regularly on my Peugeot.

The ABS rings on each wheel get covered in crap, the notches cut out then become full and the ABS sensor sees this as a loacked wheel momentarily.

Obviously when your ABS light is on you have no ABS and cleaning just takes some crab cleaner and a soft toothbrush in most cases.

It could also be an ABS sensor itself but cleaning the ABS rings is a good start.

Dave!
