I need to replace the rear OS window motor on my E220 Cab - because the cable has broken.
I am able to remove the window glass OK but would appreciate some advice on how to proceed with the motor swap.
Do I need to remove the entire regulator mechanism or can I replace the motor without doing this. I can see how the cable threads around the lower pulley but the upper one is not immediately visible.
WIS explains that I need to undo three bolts on the regulator plus another two behind the outside trim panel to free the assembly, but doesn't go into detail on how you actually get the whole thing out !
How do I actually remove the entire assembly - there seems to be a bit of the roof hydraulics sitting across the aperture. Has anyone had practical experience of this ?
