w124 dash bulb issue

Guys

The bulb on on my dash has decided to stop working, its the left hand one which covers the water, fuel and oil pressure guages. I have given the top of the dash a wack and it has come on, this has worked twice but now doesn't have any effect.
Does anyone know if this is an easy fix or a major surgery job. I can get by with it but all the lights work on my car interior and the half lit dash is annoying me.

it takes 5-10 minutes to change the bulb and a little longer if the speedo wire is short

to change the bulb you need to pull cluster, to do it use
Mercedes * Dash removal tool * extraction hooks cluster on eBay (end time 16-Feb-11 09:47:18 GMT)
or use something similar. once you got the cluster out it's easy to change.

dont forget the speedocable can be short and it can be a real fight to get it on again but if you take your time it will go fine
