Howdy Chaps, do any of you know whether it is possible to change the fuel sender unit without the full removal of the fuel tank? Had mares trying to get the new one in and it still wasn't possible after taking off the 4 bolts as there wasn't much give either way (the previous owner must have had a go at getting the old sender out as it was chewed to pieces)!

Just wondered whether there was a 'knack' to it - also when you take the fuel sender out there are some pipes that run along the inside at the top - are these breather pipes?

Any help would be much appreciated!

* I've re-posted this under a different thread name as didn't have a response to the previous one - Cheers, Justin.

The answer is yes you can, I only know this after our garage blocked the fuel breather charcoal filter and the tank collapsed, ours is a 7 seat estate and removing the carpet gave access to the sender unit which was a simple swap over. I can't tell you how to do it has garage mechanic was doing all the work to try to remove large amounts of self inflicted egg foo yung from his face.
