like this ugly duckling

What?! Ugly?!

That's one of the most beautiful cars ever made!

The E36 cab is certainly rare, but IMHO it will only appeal to a very limited group of people as the benefit over a 320 Sportline with AMG kit is slight IIRC. And £18k will get you some other very nice cars.

But as already stated, it's worth whatever someone will pay for it! :)

Nice. I would love to collect a complete set of E36s!

They are collectible but I just dont see them being worth that money..

You could buy so many other desirable Mercedes for that sort of money.

As Bill says, get an E320 with an AMG kit, like the green one posted on here the other day, and spend the other 12K on a nice SL.

And an SL500 would be a much more rewarding drive.

Over the years, I've owned Fiat 500s, a Citroen DS Safari and a Sunbeam Tiger, all of which are on their site, and I want them all back!

Looks nice - however there are some issues with it.

Firstly, the advert wording is rubbish there was no such thing as a Sportline body kit. The body cladding etc is all the same as a normal W124 cab - the only difference is the Sportline badge on the front wings.
It would also have come with a Sportline gearknob as the walnut one is an aftermarket addition.

The drivers front seat needs restoration as the seat bolster is worn through. They have obviously tried some restoration and had the seat cover off because you can see the ripples on the side of the seat where they have not refitted it correctly.

All the standard issues will need to be addressed - wiring loom, headgasket, water pump etc.

Is it worth £14,995 - I think it is about £2K more than it should be but I guess it is worth what they can get for it.

Ooooo, that's expensive!

Looks like that driver's seat has a bit more wear than you'd expect from 20,000 kms. And why on earth give us the "fuzzy look" for an award winning interior?

Thing is in Australia they do tend to pay more than just about anywhere else (except maybe Singapore) for their Merc's.

Yes, no Sportline on either of them, why can't I get my door wood to look like the second one's.........
