I Bought 300ce 1991 with several problems. Right now I try to fix my drivers electric seat.It wont work. There is missing door panel.

I try to take the seat off. But I have to use the electric...

I look down the seat and take some photos. If you can help recocnize these wires. I dont have any idea what they are. There is missing some wires? 20171103_174534.jpg 20171103_174703.jpg 20171103_174807(1).jpg

Sorry my poor english...

The motors are connected to the 8 pack connector, if you put 12 volts across the terminals opposite each other a motor will run, swap the voltage across the terminals and the motor will run the other way. There are four motors [excluding the head rest motor] that control the seat movement = eight terminals.

OK, I cant find the opposite wich goes to 8 pack connector...

It is possible/likely that somebody has had a motor issue (blowing fuses) and cut it out, or the seats have been previously replaced/swapped over from another model?

I would first check to see what power, if any you have at the connector. Your data card or VIN may help to decode what options the car was built with.

I have seen manual seats fitted to cars built for electric seats and electric seats fitted to cars that were intended for manual seats. Then there is the middle ground where somebody has an issue and just chops out wires to stop it blowing fuses?

Ex-owner had some problems with the seat switch. Then he just take apart some wires...

I Take some photo soon!

It is originel;404 MULTI-CONTOUR SEAT, FRONT LEFT

Here is photos under the seat. Is there missing a motor? It looks like one connector is broken(photo).
Some Wires was heavily taped.

Take the seat out then post a photo.

Are your motors running now...?

I cut the bolt. Now the seat is out allmost. Only the vacuum line is in. Is there some easy way to cut it?

The rubber connector with two yellow lines is where the line just pulls apart, watch your knuckles!

Now its off. There wasnt any vacuum line to cut. I thought there was...
What next? Trying to find some motors?20171114_113230.jpg

Looks like a manual seat with no motors but a proper picture of the whole seat base would have been nice.

There is some photos. There is missing back rest adjustment. Maybe its electrical :)20171114_151407.jpg 20171114_151512.jpg 20171114_151530.jpg 20171114_151636.jpg

The seat base is manual , the recline may be electric if you take off the back of the seat you will see if there is a motor inside the backrest that controls the recline.

Does the multi contour work...?

Multi Contour wont work. Any ideas how I take the back of the seat off. Back off the seat is missing couple of screws.
It would be funn if the multi contour would work...

At the bottom of the seat back there are two screws, once they are removed you can pull the side of the seat at the base away from the seat back, it is tough and a bit rough but they will come apart.

YES, both motors are running , headrest and backrest. Now I have to work with the multi contour...

There are a lot of things that may contribute to the MC not working, the pump, the lines from the pump to the bellows in the seat and the switch blocks, often the bellows has a leak, the pump doesn't operate, the switch block is faulty, the lines themselves are connected incorrectly [if somebody else has been messing in there] or just leak...
