    Derek,

I needed the engine tray for my E300D and found that they are diesel specific as they "encapsulate" the engine. They are wider and longer than those on petrol engines.
The one on my E320 will fit as the mounting screw holes are in the same place, but it leaves a gap at the sides and rear.
I had difficulty finding the right one secondhand as I certainly wasn't prepared to pay the dealers asking price.
I don't have a cover over the gearbox on the E320 either, but I'm not sure whether it's supposed to have one.

    Regards,
    Andy

I have a steel undertray from an e220. Way too heavy to post though.
