I have a small amount of rust bubbling around the sensor - would be a better repair if I remove the sensor. I had a quick look this evening but it is not very accessible from inside the tailgate (at least without removing the lock assembly).
Is there an easy way to remove this or does it involve a lot of stripping down inside the tailgate?
its a bit annoying as the rest of the tailgate is pretty much perfect after having had plenty of waxoyl injected into it.
