If you don't have the original manual, you'll probably find all that you need in the Haynes manual, available at Halfords and plenty of other places (even your local library, perhaps).

Try going to GSF or any other pace where Merc parts are sold. They have all diagrams and circuit plans on their databases. All you've got to do is sweet-talk the person serving you and they do normally oblige. Worth a try.

thanks will try that. just got a haynes manual but it dosnt tell you about the fuse box just said refure to the box cover.

Hi Matt, I would recommend that when you do get your info, replace all the fuses anyway.

I had a few minor problems with mine (similar age) and the cure was to replace a fuse. Ater I spent a bit time cleaning the contacts and almost no money (about £1.50 for all fuses from local auto electrician) there have been no electrical gremlins.

Here are a couple of snaps of mine to use as reference (assuming the ce is the same as the saloon).

A POUND!!!!!! No wonder they're referred to as stealers.:eek::eek:

Just print the above photo for 1p.:thumb:
