Hi all,

Searched this but there seems to be some confusion as different models have different offsets?

Basically, I need to know what my restrictions are with my 1987 230E. It's currently on standard steels, but I really don't like them.

I really fancy "lattice" style alloys found on 80s Jags, Beemers, Rovers etc, but I can't start looking until I know what my limits are.

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Offset/wheel ET needs to be considered together with width, with stock 6.5 or 7" wheels the W124 used ETs in the low to mid 40s. Fitment charts here... Alloy Wheels Direct Ltd | Fitting Chart Index

I've probably got the wrong end of the stick but if you're looking at wheels from different manufacturers then ET is the least of your worries as the bolt pattern (wheel P.C.D) and centrebore diameter differ. Mercedes use 5x112mm p.c.d and IIRC the centrebore is 66.5mm

Offset is normally 41-49 mm for 6.5 and 7" rims
