W124 sill paint code.

Hi after the jacking point repair, on my W124 saloon 1989 i need to repaint the sills in the original colour. I think its Granitgrau code 7026 .Can anyone second this .The colour is in all the interior structure as well .Thank you for any help given right now.As i need to get the new repair painted up .And protected.

Is this the grey that is also in the boot cubby's?

If yes and it is the same as in my pic? The code is: (7)129 Galinit Grey

Took me ages to find this. If ordering from Merc use the 7129. If from a paint shop use 129 and ask for Glasurit Paint.

Bruce thank you for that .I was not sure .I could have done it in Hammerite but it would not look the same. Did you have to use clear coat on top.?

On my 124. Mercedes state that it is the 129 Grey with a Satin Clear on top. I had mine mixed here: Kent Car Panels and Paint Centre, supplies for car paint repair, 2k paint, cellulose and water based hydrofan. I also bought the Satin Clear Coat from them. The paint match and finish are excellent and not the runny Halfords stuff. It went on well as did the Clear.

I do believe that Mercedes themselves sell this but have no idea about the quality of the paint. The original was a Glasurit paint. So it is water based.

Be sure that the colour I posted in my pic is what you want? There is a later lighter shade. FYI: Mercedes customer support were unable to get the code for me. I eventually tracked it down through another classic car restoration chap who had also spent months researching this.
