w124 suspension trouble...?

I personally would not change the lower arm - it will not be noticeable.

Get the springs sorted first and see how it looks and feels then.

The biggest difference with sportline chassis is the better tighter steering, which you have.

So you ended up being at the start position of the spectrum for the next (harder) spring range.

The choice I suppose was to stay at the end of the spectrum for the previous (softer) spring range.

How does the ride feel ?

Does it feel hardish ?

Yes, I chose the harder option. In fact, the parts were not sourced from MB, it was the Bilstein B12 kit consisting of 4 springs and 4 B8 dampers.

The result is a little harder but by no means offensively so. The original Sportline never floated over our local rough French roads, we use our Renault for that. The MB is used on long trips where the 30 mpg is acceptable. Stop/start local motoring in the MB is a bit choppy and rather costly. Having said that, the MB is fun to throw around the bends and everything really tightens up nicely when I press on and the B12 kit does keep things level.
