Just approaching the 1st year of owning a W124 and I can't believe the value. We bought a 320 estate with 117k and partial service history MB to 88K for under £1k, do 15,000 miles pay for 2 services and then just the following, front indicators as one was cracked £45, new alternator and battery £200, Air Con pipe £35, an N10 relay £10.
For us lugging 3 kids plus grandparents means the 7 seats work wonders, we took the car plus roof box and 6 people from our place nr Devizes to the Isle of Wight for a week and back on 1 tank of fuel. For our business delivering 50 cases of wine is no problem.
Is there a better choice for the family/business in a recession?
Next question is we need another car do we buy another W124 or what else should I consider for under £1k
Thanks
