This makes me happy - and in the other thread you posted with the link with the pictures I think I read that you have a set of 225/45/17 tyres on the rims too. This too is good...

Post some pics when you've fitted them, and it would be good if you could update the thread with a report of any changes in ride, rubbing etc so the info is all in the same place as I'm sure others will have similar questions in the future.

I will put a full update up when the car is done... Thanks for the prompt. As I said, I am excited about how it turns out. It is replacing a fancy modern Merc and so needs to be rewarding in its own right. I'm already getting compliments on it so the finished article should be a good advert for my business... and a good advert to be honest for older Mercs.

Wheels here tomorrow. I will take them to be painted the day after, tyres on thereafter, and then drop the wheels onto the motor. Graphics to follow before Christmas I hope...

I will work out about wing spacers and dropping the car once I have seen it with the new wheels.

New wheels on. No snagging issues on bodywork now. Excellent.

New Conti Sport Contact 5 tyres all round has dropped road noise by an amazing level. I am very happy. The project continues.

Maybe lowering, and definitely proper audio as part of early New Year plans to get it sorted, rolling, sitting and sounding right.
