w124 window regulator motor question

Does anybody know if you can fit quiet motors on to them? maybe from a w140, w202 etc?

I assume they are less noisy if anybody can confirm and shoudnt post much of a threat changing them around.

Would be nice if that whine can can be thrown out of the window....

Window motors don’t make much noise, 90% of the noise you are hearing from the windows is from all of the mechanical components that make up the lifting mechanisms, if a W140 or a W202 windows are quieter in operation then a W124 then its down to better design and or sound insulation of the door card.

I don’t think regulators from W140 or a W202 will fit into a W124

Perhaps some lubrication of the moving parts of the lifting mechanism may improve things a little.
