W129 Auto Box - Bad gear selections

My autobox, previously slipping but cured by a fluid change, keeps making bad decisions about which gear to be in.

Is there some sort of 'memory reset' you can do to put the box into factory gearchange settings rather than the 'based on driving style' (I'm guessing this is whats happening).

All in E setting.

Get the car on STAR, it may be something other than just 'bad decisions'!

possibly, but I won't be able to get access to "STAR" for 2 weeks - is there a 'hard reset' ? There isn't slipping, just holding gears too long, kicking down in a confused way and the like

depends which year the car is and therefore which gearbox.

94 the older 4 speed.

It was serviced about 5 weeks prior to this issue at benz...without going into too much detail the levels were allowed to get too low..hence slipping.
