I have a 2005 ML350 with an LPG conversion. The filler cap is on the rear quarter 6 inches or so to the upper left of the fuel flap. I am getting some bodywork done next week and want to relocate the LPG filler. I have pulled off the left cover on the bumper, and I am pretty sure I can relocate it behind there. The issue I see is I am not sure the bumper cover will tolerate being taken off and putting back on so many times (for filling up with LPG) as the metal clips seem a bit flimsy.
Is there any other way of securing the bumper cover on that will stand the taking off and putting back on that comes with filling up....
