Hi All, I have a set of the chrome side step bars for my ML270 but have no fixings. Can anyone who has a set of these let me know what is required to fix them to the bodywork please?

Do you know if they are original bars or aftermarket?

The ones we have on our W163 bolt onto some holes that are already there on the chassis near the jacking points. The bars that we had had threads in them and they simply bolt through. Was quite tricky to do at first, but once we got one side done it was plain sailing.

Be careful though, the bars we have do actually obscure the factory jacking points meaning you can't use the factory jack. Although having loked at the factory jack you probably would prefer to use a heavy duty trolley jack to lift the car.

they are original MB side bars (have MB logo and part number) and I can see the bits they bolt on to under the car, I just wondered what fixings were required to secure them.

Okay if they are original MB ones then it should be easier to work out what is needed.

Someone should be able to look this up on EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue), may be worth trying your local dealer parts counter. They should be able to identify which fixings you need.
