still troubles with a misfire at higher revs.
my suspision is now on the cats. so would it be posible to remove my cats. the car is converted to a lpg (liquid injection system)which uses the car's own ecu for it's injector opening timing etc. I know for the running on lpg you can away with removing the cats for emision tests but will it upset the running conditions of the engine with having less back pressure in the exhaust etc. could someone please advise me in this matter.

would look at fuel pump first had same problem took car to mercedes breakers for diagnostics was told needed maf plugs wires leads and possibly cat's left thinking best that was just plugs but a maf 4cat,s 4,o2 sensors plugs leads and wires turned out to be fuel pump didn't have enough presure under full load. happy to say ml runs like a dream agai

Removing the cats won't stop a misfire, have you checked the air mass sensor?

Sounds as if your car is suffering from pre-ignition problems on LPG at higher RPMs. You possibly need a cooler running plug and a different electrode gap?
