W168 A class Amg Bumper - Repairable?

Hello all. Big crack in the recess just front spoiler just under the number plate about six inches long. Official MB body shop won't repair. Are they being awkward? Can a decent indy body shop fix it?

I'm sure an indy body shop would repair it. Many would use some form of fibre glass re-inforcement behind the crack, fill and paint the bumper.

Any chance of posting some pictures of the damage?
