W169 flashing indicator lights when locking

The indicator lightsno longer flash 3 times on our W169 A170 when you use the remote keyfob to lock the car. They still flash once when unlocking.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to re-activate the 3 flashes when the car is locked or is it another trip to the dealer?

You may find that one of the doors has not been shut properly - does that on my B Class occasionally, and this seems to be the problem (check the tailgate too ...)

The alarm is not arming even though the doors are locking. This probably one of the doors is not shut properly (tailgate etc), or one of the sensors is fautlty.

The tailgate wasnt shut properly! (I blame the missus as she was the last one to use the car )

This has happended to me a few times.
