W201 190E 2.0 auto: car starts from cold first time, then cuts out when accelerator pressed and trying to drive off. If left to tick over for 5 mins or so, drives OK. Any ideas, chaps?

28 views and not a single response. Little disappointing so far, if I may be so bold.

Sounds as if there is no compensation for the engine being cold. The car will start because of enrichment from the cold start valve. After that cuts out ON opening the throttle caused by no mixture enrichment. Once the engine warms up things are OK?
You could have a problem with the electro hydraulic fuel pressure regulator, the fast idle adjustment or the ECU coolant temperature sensor. So either the ECU doesn't know the engine is cold or it can't do anything about it would be my guess.

ovp relay can be faulty
