W202 6X9 in the Rear? Where is the aerial located?

Hi

The standard aerial is integrated with the rear windscreen heater element. You could fit another aerial and not use the windscreen aerial but why bother? The standard aerial is plenty sensitive.

Hey philharve thanks for the useful suggestion you are giving us.

As far as the standard aerial, my personal opinion is that it is not sensitive as a normal external mast!

This as per my test via a similar radio (JVC) in two different car: my '98 W202 and my wife Opel Tigra (with external antenna).

In any case I confirm that it's too much effort and I keep my standard one!

quick question

I want to put some rear speakers into my 1993 W202 C180 elegance. Are they prewired to the shelf along with the rear door speakers or will i have a PITA job to get some routed.

The rear parcel shelf seems to be made of hardboard, would i need to cut this out to house the speaker grills?

Any help appreciated.
