W202 AMG Bumpers

Hands up everyone who will be on the battlefield tonght for these.

Seems to be getting a bit pricey.....save your money and but some new tyres instead of if you are luck a set of secondhand AMG alloys with tyres !!!! ( Have I put anyone off competing for these ???:bannana: :bannana: :bannana: )

£440 wasn't bad, I guess everyone's looking for matching C43 side skirts now (even rarer eh???)

I was very lucky I got my C32 kit complete and mostly in Brilliant Silver too

Front bumper skin (no parktronic) is £468.47
The central bar between the foglamps is £117.38
The foglamps are £51.29 each
Rear bumper skin (no parktronic) is 473.76
Sideskirts are £348.98 each

£1860.15 buys you that lot, 10% discount included from Inchcape.

That's not everything you need, there are load of clips/clamps etc but they come to under £100.

I forgot to add, the skins will only fit facelift bumpers AFAIK.

From inchcape the front bumper complete is £715.76
rear bumper is £581.20 and sideskirts are £495.12

495.12 seems cheap for the sideskirts, shows what you get if you check the price on "B" accessory codes rather than "A" part codes!

EDIT:This comes to only 1792.08! This is because the accessory price for the sideskirts seems to include both sideskirts!

If you knock the difference off my previous estimate then it's 1657.31 for the bumper skins. Essentially if you have a facelift W202 then you can save yourself about £135.

How much is a set of facelift bumpers and sideskirts worth second-hand? More than £135? If so then it's cheaper to buy the complete AMG kit and sell the left-overs.

Forget Inchcape, how about I speak to MB Manchester parts and see how much they'd do it for. I've known most of them for years and have had some spectacular deals in the past.
If we're buying up to let's say 5 full kits then they might show some decent interest. In the end there are two numbers, the amount it costs them and the amount they sell it for. The margin differs for everything and I think they make a killing on some items as I've had 40% off etc. If they can whittle the margins down a bit while still making it worth their time then we all win.

Also the front bumper seems to be the most expensive bit, I was considering one of these:

The rest of the bodykit is hideous but it's modern AMG-style and costs peanuts from Rieger Tuning, peddlars of barryboy-tat. I think that, coupled with factory AMG sideskirts and rear bumper would be almost tasteful!

With the prices that have been quoted here for the new parts, and I guess that doesn't include spraying charges, its hardly worth it !!!!!

I certainly don't think its worth spending that sort of money on a W202 just for a very subtle change in body styling.

£440 now appers to have been an excellent bargain for someone.

i wouldnt say bargain, as whoever won may need to repair and respray which in turn will add to the cost, then they are second hand so you never know what has happened to them. and the pics were not all that clear.......

Lets hope he's telling the truth.
now i need to find a hatchback or an estate car to go and collect them,

Well done on 'winning' the auction, it would probably be easier to collect them in an estate. Hope the bumpers are clean and don't need to be resprayed. When I bought the AMG kit for mine I had the front bumper resprayed as it had quite a few scratches on it. It wasn't really bad but I just wanted it to look perfect.

Good luck and please post some pictures once you've had it fitted.

You can fit a full set of w202 bumpers and sideskirts in a w202, doesn't even need folding seats

I contacted this guy initially and he was willing to deliver using parcelforce 48hrs to London. Cost is about £19.

Just get him to wrap them in bubblewrap and get him to deliver ......better option.

If it were me I would rather collect, from my experience bubble wrap on bumpers & Parcel Force don't go well.

I bought my kit from Germany, they came very well packed, bubble wrap and boxed. Wife wasn't impressed as I was at work when they arrived, all 3 large (very large) boxes
