W202 blower stopped working

Hi, my son has a 1999 C200 and the blower has stopped working was working driving along and just stopped for no reason, i have checked the fuses under the bonnet in the little fuse box drivers side by the windscreen and all seem ok, does anyone know if there are any fuses elsewhere? or anything else it could be? thanks in advance.

Hi, Brushes worn out in the motor,think there is a" how to" on here,no other fuses,
very common fault,easy fix,can get brushes off ebay,about a fiver.

Hi,
I had a 1998 C180 which had trouble with the blower motor, although in my case if you gave the trim panel above the passengers feet a shark kick it would run again for a while.
Found the carbon brushes in the motor were worn down and not making contact.

Remove passenger side front lower trim panel 3 screws,you will see plug going into
oblong black plastic cover,un plug,slide the two white plastic clips on the runner and
prise off,you will then see the fan and regulator,undo the torx screws,four IIRC and remove fan and regulator.good hunting!

Just a quick add to this thread - when I took my brushes out they were worn down at an angle so I simply turned them around and slotted them back in - heater has worked fine for 6 months so far - saves a bit of cash! :bannana:

C180 Mercedes the Blower stopped working ? I have replaced the Fuses so it is not the issue, do you think this could be a brushes problem like outlined above and if so willl I find them in the same place? thanks

It would be great if you could help with the exact string as I cannot find then brushes I need on ebay. thanks for the help
