2000 C200 Kompressor Estate - 6 Speed Manual.
Hi there!

My name is Will and I've recently just invested in a 2000 W202 C200 Kompressor and I want to do a few tuning bits to it so I can get more ponies.

As some of you may know for tax and emissions regulations here in the UK the C200K (M111.943 I believe) was throttled back from 190 ish BHP to 163 BHP and I would like to try and get my car back to the older figures and then some if possible.

The question being what's involved on making my 163 BHP engine go like the 190. Is the supercharger the same as the older engine? What differences is there in mapping and other things?

Would it end up being as simple as change the pulley out for a different ratio and give it a remap or if the S/C is different would bolting on a unit from a higher output engine bring it back up?

Lastly are the actual engine blocks the same? If so how much power can these take on stock internals? Same goes for the transmission as I have what seems to be quite a rare option of a 6 speed manual box.

Cheers in advance for any help given, I've been told this is the best forum in the UK to go to by many a people.

Will.

I don't really know anything about M111 C200K's. What I can say is, the easy way to get more power is to fit a larger crankshaft pulley along with a longer belt. Next, would be a remap. I'm guessing you should see something in the region of a 20-25BHP gain. After that I'd look at a better Inter cooler.

If you wish I can put you in contact with somebody that has a a larger crank pulley and comes with a suitable belt. The only reason this is for sale is the owner has turbo'ed the his engine now (also a M111 C200K).

Hi there! Thank you for the info, Yes if you can put me in touch with someone for that I would be very interested to see what setup he has, Does he have any kind of progress blog for the work he has done?

Thanks, Will.

No prob Will.

Did your friend start a tread on the turbo conversion, I see also turbo conversions have come to a standstill on the forum.

No, thread on here about it sorry to say.

very old model now, personally I wouldn't waste the time or the money on upgrading anything. Maybe time for a C43? it would probably cost less in money overall!
