Hi,
I have 1997 C230K Sport and the rear seats fold down. It was an option on the C class, and i think it was standard on the C43.

They do fold on my 43 by two red levers in the boot under the parcel shelf

As Andy has said, they were an option on W202's, quite rare as you don't see many with the option. All C43's have the option as standard.
