W202 HID Conversion.

Yes, I agree! But has anyone done it? It should be feasible (H4 bulb)?

Depends on how long the cables are to the ballast/controller.

Now that would be an awesome set-up.. Bi-xenons plus fogs :)

DO NOT USE XENONS ON FOGLAMPS.

It is just a bad idea. Yellow light is more effective in fog, that's why some countries actually have white bulbs but yellow lenses on their cars!

Yellow light seems to cut through the fog whereas the whiter lights is internally reflected by the fog droplets and it just blinds you.

Again, xenons in fog is just a no-no.

read somewhere that if the bulbs or unit you use if they are to high powered they can melt the plastic lenses...regards jon

Only if they produce more heat. HID units produce less heat than Halogen bulbs so this won't be an issue

I think I'm going for Nightbreakers main/full bream, with Philips blue sidelights FOC from powerbulbs.com as it's cheap, legal and almost as good.....

Just had unlit B road run with one nightbreaker and one normal bulb on dip - nightbreaker side is whiter that the standard bulb and certainly brighter (not staggeringly so but worth the £20). Suspect most benefit will be on main beam.

This fits in with the view that lighting is not staggeringly brighter but is more dazzling to other road users. I would alos be very concerned about the fact that I am invalidating my insurance.

I think they'd be hard pushed to claim you invalidated you insurance by fitting a standard wattage bulb! No different to people who fitted halogen bulbs in place of plain old filament bulbs in the 70s.

Who on earth is going to come from the insurance company to check your bulbs ??????
