W202 leak into passenger footwell

Hi,
Got a leak into my passenger footwell, had a poke about and it's coming in through the blower fan housing. Guess this is why the fan just packed in!!
Anyone know where the water has originated from? I've removed any dead leaves in the area.

Many thanks, found a "cork" shaped blockage.

yeah this happened to me too, this has to be a design flaw. now im checking my cowls everyday.
