W202 Mileage

Very strange indeed! You drive, your mileage increases.

Nothing embarrasing about a high(er) mileage vehicle at all.

At least it's being used!

to be honest kwak theres not a better feeling than having a high mileage on a car you love..

96 C220 Manual, 183000

Mine had multiple failures + head gasket and so I RIP'ed it at around 107k i think... :( C230K on an R reg built in 96 imported from Malaysia, wouldn't be surprised if it was clocked to be honest. I threw alot of money at it and it kept going wrong.

High milage banger lol.. i prefer my cars low milage but still, it will look good soon :D

high mile banger ??
odd comment...cars cant stay low mileage forever and most owners take pride in a well maintained high mile'er i know i do...

'98 C240 Sport
184000 and increases by 100 miles a day.

Original 'box (and oil!!)

wow thats impressive i had my 97 preupdate c180 ATF changed at 135k

I was talking to my Dad about it the other day (a mech of 30 years) and he mentioned his bosses old Jag with a ZF auto box which he looked after from new That did over 400k and never had the gearbox touched once.

This one is tatty on the outside, iv only just bought it you see. Looks like a banger atm with a hand sprayed bonnet, rust spots everywhere, respray as soon as the mini sells though so im really not fussed how it looks for the moment.

Nope, never touched the box. It's completely dry and leak free underneath so i don't want to prod a sleeping bear, so to speak. I've run the car for over 100k, over 3.5 years and in that time it's had:

* Countless oil changes
* 2x water pumps (There's a reason why GSFs pump costs £50 and MB's £350 + Exchange!)
* 2x ball joints
* Front disks and pads
* Seal between the oil cooler and block replaced due to a weep
* Battery
* 4x Set of tyres
* Steering damper
* Aux belt
* And a sh*t load of petrol :devil:

I euro styled it and it looked good, also im 18 so its good for insurance, haha some people hate them but they are a good handling car, just lacked power the one i had. (new style)

Mercedes all the way!

My 202 c230k had ~206k on the clock before I had a blowout on the motorway and drove it into a barrier.

Prior to that it was a fine car though! Engine and gearbox were sound but I had a LOT of stuff replaced over the years.
