W202 Mileage

* 2x water pumps (There's a reason why GSFs pump costs £50 and MB's £350 + Exchange!)

When I did the water pump on my W201 190 2.6 it was something like £50 for one from ECP , but only £86 for a genuine MB one from the dealer ( after exchange , about £130 for a straight purchase ) ; the ECP one came without a gasket , which I would have had to buy from MB , but it came included with the MB pump .

1994 C280 I6 Sport in Black, original everything, fully loaded, 52000

Any Lower?

My 1957 Ponton is sitting on 65,000 Km ( about 40,000 miles ) , but that is a W105 and not a 202 :)

I'm a big fan of the 202. Got 2:-

1996 C200 just coming up to 140k. Runs beautifully, uses no oil, never failed an MOT, no rust. Looks a million dollars.
2000 C280 V6. Just 67k miles. Runs like new.

Fantastic value for money !

1999 C200 manual - covered 124,000 faultless miles in the four years I had it from hew.

i know im resurrecting an old thread, so please don't shoot me.....

1997 C180 Elegance

Bought in June with just turned 60K on the clock, 600008 if i remember correctly!

just clicked the 69k mark on Christmas Day!

Was bought for £360 with a burst brake line, and the tax and mot had about 3 weeks left.
Cost 76p to put through the MOT (not including the price of the mot itself)

so far its had, a new prop centre bearing and carrier, new rear bleed nipples, a bulb for the dash, a full service.....and thats it!

Next month its getting a new windscreen(wiper scratches), 4 new tyres(plenty of tread but they look a bit old and they're a miss match) and ill fully service it again.

Was only supposed to be a stop gap car but iv ended up keeping onto it for longer than i thought......and probably will for a bit longer, its a horrible colour (aquamarine) an its slow, but it ace to drive and peoples faces when i tell them how much it cost is priceless, especially with Aberdeen car prices being stupidly inflated.

it does the journey to Leeds and back and Glasgow and back to see my daughter or pick her up half way without a hitch!

1998
C43
176,200 currently

Still goes like **** off a shovel !

I drove a C250 with around 350,000. Most of the car was knackered and broken but it drove really nicely. Its probably somewhere in Africa still chugging around.

Not strictly a W202 as its a 320 CLK, but had one come in as a PX about 6 months ago on a W Reg 2000. One owner from new and 296,000 on the clock. Original engine and gearbox and drove beautifully but bodywork was shot to pieces.

V - S202 230k - 121,000.

Recently purchased for £795, these have to be the best bangernomics Mercedes available at the moment.

1999 w202 c230k 187,000 miles (owned 13 years from 16,000)
1994 s124 e300d 237,000 miles (owned 8 years from 170,000)

1999 c230k about 85000

W202
C250td
180,000. Starts perfectly, no smoke, still quite swift and 0-60 pretty close to stock 9.9 seconds. Going in for a respray next month.

1998 C180 Esprit Auto. Runs beautifully, No knocks or rattles, 173000 and still going strong.

high mile banger ??
odd comment...cars cant stay low mileage forever and most owners take pride in a well maintained high mile'er i know i do...

I agree, I love high mileage, I've been lucky enough to just get this beauty, but if I could still be saying that in 10 years time I'd be very happy
