A buddy of mine is looking for a runabout. £1200 max. He does a bit of painting and decorating during his time off. He is a fireman.
He can easily get a Mondeo, Vectra or Saab 9-3 but he has seen a few w202s and w203s and likes the thought of having something a bit older but with a touch of class.
The w202 I know are good cars (I had one) and I kniw the w203s had their problems but my thoughts were that any decent midel with good history would have loads of work done over the years and should now be ok. Obviously wear and tear would be taken in to account but as a car doing 100 local miles a week would it be worth a punt.
