W202 wiper motor

The wiper on my dads c180 has become jammed so won't swivel up and down, just side to side (usual story). Lubing hasn't worked.

I think I read that the mech from the W210 is stronger and fits, is this right?

Sorry I know this is a common gremlin but I'm a bit stuck on what to order.

If the wiper blade sweeps across the screen in all speeds but only produces the arc pattern at the Yellow line then your wiper motor is ok, it is the wiper mechanism that is at fault.

I have a brand new genuine mech for sale. The 210 ones fit, its just the plugs that are different.

My understanding is that there is no difference between 202s and 210s but there are two types of plug and you have to make sure you get the right one.

When you do get it sorted out make sure you lube the mechanism every year or so. There is a How To somewhere. If you're feeling adventurous you could try Dec's bodge which involves drilling a hole in the mechanism and inserting a roll pin.
