I parked the merc in the garage. The following day i jacked the back up & replaced the rear suspension springs. I completed this task with ease, BUT, noticed Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) on the floor, about half a litre.
I left it jacked up & this morning there is more oil on the floor. At a guess, i would say there is 50% probility its comming out where the electrics plug into the autobox. Does this sound true, or are there common problems i should also investigate?

Yes this is a common problem. The electrical bushing has seals which fail allowing ATF to leak. Pop down to your local dealer and pick a new one up, quite cheap and easy to change.

Make sure to top up the fluid to the correct level also using the correct method afterwards.

I poped over to the local indy, but he's got me a bit worried. Its east to break the circuit board & its £200 for a new board. Ive seen the part, but i dont know how to get it out safely, or how it comes out. does it just pull out?

You need to twist out the connector by using the tab and turning in out. Then there is a nut holding the bushing in. Go and buy the part first and it will become very clear.

You wont damage anything. If you are fairly capable with DIY stuff this will be nothing.
