The carbon effect trim on the B pillars have a rubber topper to them, presumably to stop water getting behind the trim. However, I've just noticed one of the door is missing this trim.

Anyway know specifically what it is called, and if available on its own? I've tried googling and an ebay search but couldn't find it. There was one chap selling a complete trim pack, aftermarket, but it didn't have the rubber topper, oddly.

I guess I could try the breakers, but I don't want to be calling it wrong the part if there is an industry known name for it.

Any help appreciated.

I'd imagine it's part of the trim and not available separately. Why not have a look on eBay for secondhand trim pieces?

I did wonder if might only be part of the whole trim, but thought perhaps I might be calling it the wrong thing too.

As stated, already did an ebay search.

Yes, but I meant for the whole trim panel, not just the rubber as I believe it's an integral part of the trim.

Probably not much help, but I came across this ad. Not a very detailed description as it doesn't mention which C Class, or which door it fits, but it looks to me as though the rubber seal is attached. (Right hand side of the picture).

Thanks for that, I did look at it earlier but couldn't see the rubber trim, I see it now you mentioned it, stupid work monitor does not cope well with windows behind me.
Google no help on that part number, I've contact the dude about it.
Thanks again.

So did I, hence my problem, I didn't know exactly what it was called so was searching for door trim, b pillar, etc.
Turns out one site called it an ornamental cove, who would have thought?

Ah, now I know what you mean.

I would have searched for B pillar trim, door trim.

Some of the parts have odd names, quite often I guess after being translated from german.
