w203 dashboard light dimming

Hello MB Forum people, first post for me as I am new to Benz ownership (10 days!) . I have noticed that I can dim the main binnacle lights using the small knob on the left of the binnacle. I like a lowish light level but I have noticed that to get any sort of brightness on the centre console lights the main pod has to be at max brightness?? anything I am missing here?? thanks

You're missing nothing, that's normal behaviour.

Ta V much Stratman, looks like I'll have a few Benz quirks to get used to after 10 years of Audi !!
be good to know if anyone else has any ideas for a fix on this ??
