I was experiencing steering wheel shake when breaking at around 40-30mph.
I took the car to a local garage and the mechanic confirmed that the discs showed heat spots and were warped, so I went to German and Swedish and bought a pair of Brembo Max grooved discs with Textar pads. When removed the old discs were badly corroded on the inside to the extent that disc was not sitting on the hub correctly. The corrosion had also spread to the hub faces so these were also replaced.
Strange that there was so much corosion as the discs did not show much sign of wear, and the pads had many thousands of miles left on them.

While the guy had the car on the ramp he saw that one of the bushes on the torsion bar was perishing, so both bushes were replaced using genuine parts.

I now have a car that brakes without the judder, stops quicker, and feels much more stable on the road! :bannana:

Whats the mileage on your car...is this the first replacement of such?

The car is a 2001 model with 69k on the clock. The discs were not genuine parts - probably from Kwik-Fit or somewhere like that as it used to be a lease car.
I've owned it since December and it has full MB service history, but things like discs and pads were probably changed by independent.
