W203 - Engine Clean

Just a quick question, I've fancied giving the engine bay a clean for a while and trying to establish what the best products / methods are.

Anyone undertook a similar job?

I use cheap aerolsol spray on hose off engine clean for years.
Just dont forcefully squirt water into components, just spray over. Then run engine to dry off.

I have used Oven Cleaner on Cast iron blocks in the past to remove ingrained oil and grease. Works quite well too.

So i take it o pressure washer, just garden hose.

Get a clean bucket of warm water and go over with a rag/cloth first... (then apply any other product)

To date I have regularly used a clean cloth soaked in warm bucket of water every time I wash the car and nothing else.

PS. I'll try some next time I'm washign the car.
