I need to remove the interior trim and panel from the rear tailgate to gain access to the washer hose.

Trouble is I have removed the pop type clips round the edge of the bottom piece of trim but it doesn't want to come away.

Is there something else I need to do?

Hmm, fun one this one!
You've got the clips out- cool. You need to be certain they are all out, and give it a pull. There are two snapfits effectively in line where the number plate is. It also clips into the lower edge of the screen surround, so be careful, and ensure that this part hooks back up again when you re-assemble.

Add an extra cable tie to that hose. . . .

If it is like the S210 then it needs to lift/slide up along the door to disengage a pair of claws from the door after all the clips are removed.

I don't know what type of clips you have but mine are not pop-out but the withdraw plastic pin type, which then releases the stud. The cap of the pin can be lifted with pincers or carefully with end-cutters. Simply hauling this type out destroys them but very cheap from MB.

Done it !
Once I got past the two pop clips near the number plate the rest slid out with purchase. I only needed 6 plasters for my fingers too!
Hose on - normal service resumed!
Did notice some corrosion in there though ... Bilt Hamber + dry weather required ..
Thanks guys.
