W203 questions

Hi I am new to the forum so i apologise if my questions are old ones. I have a 2001 W203 200K Avantgarde which is my first Merc and I love it. I do have a couple of questions and would appreciate some help.

1) when touching the throttle the engine makes a chuffing sound, my mechanic has had a look and says its the inlet camshaft veriator and at £500 plus its not worth changing as its only noisey and won't do any damage, is this the case and has anyone else had this problem.

2) Is it possible to set the mirrors to fold flat when locking the car and if so (other than programming costs) do I need any new parts.

3) Does Command 2 fit the car.

4) has anyone fitted heaters to the seats, if its possible.

All of the above are possible. I for one have had all done but the first item. I simply dont care about the noise since I am listening to music inside.

Why dont you book yourself in on my proposed visit in July. Gives you plenty of time to buy in all the parts needed.
