I'm the proud owner of a 2001 w203 c180 saloon (1998cc, 143bhp) and new to here.
Can someone provide me with some advice regarding the replacement of the transmission mount (or rear engine mount). My problem does not centre upon replacing the mount, rather upon aligning the transmission correctly into the black engine crossmember. At the minute my new transmission mount won't sit correctly within the plate. It is a genuine MB mount, but just seems reluctant to fit correctly to car. I have read the various step-by-step procedures by other members and jacked, and supported the car.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
