I think you will find that the onboard ASSYST is considered a driver's aid - what matters is not what ASSYST says, but what MB ESS says - and as long as ESS shows that the next service is due in 12 months or 13,000 miles, you're fine as far as MB and the warranty are concerned, and regardless of what ASSYST says. The dealer will always go with ESS and not ASSYST.
