W205 Order - options and emissions

Been spending ages looking at cars that are up to 95 g/km as I have my own company and can expense the whole car in year of purchase and just pay bik. Anyway - the W205 C300 Sport fits the bill!

Some questions I don't know if any one would know

- Does adding options make the car heavier and thus increase the emissions or is the emissions published @ 95 g/km in the spec/brochure the only number I care about?

- Just been reading loads an it looks like the 360 degree camera is not available until Q1 - but can't see this in the e-brochure I downloaded - is this still true then?. I will need the car before the end of Q1 - so if I order now, am I likely (based on anyone's order and expected delivery).

I am thinking of loading up a C300 Sport with Premium Plus with driving package, tints, dark wood (so I get the clock), airmatic and 360 camera. Is leather worth it or is the vinyl/artico good enough? Find it odd for a car of this price to be in Artico.

Any help with my questions appreciated.

Hi Alex,

As far as I am aware, the only option that will make a difference on emissions are tyres (size), and of course - the engine.

Not a great fan of 360 camera myself, found it a tad confusing and bit difficult to ready and make sense of.

Artico looks pretty good, and it really would be down to personal preferences.

Thanks - I remembered when emissions first came out and brochures had the base emissions and options had the incremental emissions next to them. Guess they no longer applied.

Would anyone who has a W205 be able to confirm that their log book / V5 specifies the emissions?

Alex, the emissions are listed in the V5C, i've had my W205 for just over a week now (C220 Blutec AMG line, Polar white with premium plus pack, black Ash trim and intelligent light system) and it's the best Merc I've owned, absolutely love it, as a private owner the emissions don't really bother me but adding the AMG pack did put the emissions up due to larger wheels and tyres:)

Cheers Marshy - when you have a mo, could you confirm your v5c has emissions as 106 g/km if manual or 113 g/km for an auto. Thats what the website says. If so that can confirm that extra options such as your premium plus does not add additional emissions due to weight etc.

Just gutted now about the 360 camera as I love to have that.

Also saw an estate in the Lakeside dealership and think for our use it would be better than the saloon - no information anywhere yet about a C300 Hybrid estate though. Need to see if emissions are the same as the saloon.

The emissions are usually higher for the estates than saloons due to the extra weight. For instance, the C250 salon I've ordered has an output of 110 and the equivalent estate has an output of 118 as they're both on 17" rims.

After hitting a brick wall with customer services email, dealers and Mercedes own premier center (Brooklands Mercedes World UK) and not getting any reasonable answers, I emailed the Customer Services Managing Director and got a reasoned reply. The emissions are only affected by the wheel sizes and so ordering a bog standard Sport without upgrading wheels should have the same declared emissions.

Also surprisingly, they emailed the emissions tables for each of the models available for the C300 Hybrid saloon and Estate. The emissions and fuel consumption figures were identical. I replied by asking for further confirmation in case it was 'cut and paste' error but they confirmed those figures were correct and those received from Germany.

Interesting stance and seems at odds with the UK site.

Don't see how the estate can have the same emissions as the saloon when the rest of the range is different?
