Hi All,

I am looking to replace my broken comand unit with an aftermarket double DIN, however the comand is bigger than double din so the new unit just wobbles around in the hole.

I have done days of searching and there are lt's of thread on converting from single DIN to Double DIN but not from Comand to Double DIN.

What do I need to be able to securely fit my Double Din Radio into the hole? Is there an adaptor. I don't have a cage yet, but the hole seems bigger than the cage anyway.

Hope you can help :)

All after market D/Din should come with a mounting cage. Thats all you will be missing. I have a Kenwood and its sits nice and tight.

Mine came with brackets, but no idea how they are supposed to fit. Although just remember I do have an old Double Din in the bottom of a cupboard I took out of an old car, so could nick the cage off that

On my jvc I dumped the jvc cage and tried a few aftermarket cage fitting kits down my local car radio shop and IIRC the Connects 2 one fitted snuggly (but dont quote me on that!)

The comand in your car sits in a double din hole.

All you need is the necessary cage that would come with your double din unit. It is easily installed. wiring is a doddle too as the car is ISO.
