Other thanEbay where they do come up from time to time.
What is wrong the punp or the motor
Don't dive in and buy a new one just yet.
Who advised you that you need a new one?
I had a fault with mine... dead. I feared the worse for a while.
Some checking by me revealed that there is a relay fitted to the pump unit. It is the same relay as fitted for the fuel pump near the battery. Swap them over and try again... the roof worked but the car would not start... bought a new relay and it's been fine ever since.
I think that is a suck it and see situation and the dealer is not sure, I will have a look later in the info, i take it it is a 208365 car
Its a W208 320 from 2000. This is what the dealer was saying - they werent sure, and wanted to try it. However, the entire job comes to >£1000 so I would prefer to fix myself if I can get the parts I need.
Someone with an X431 (not MB) read the codes for me. They tell me that these are the error codes that come up:
B1644 – pump temperature
B1000 – 002 : no internal supply voltage to RVC
B1123
B1646
I got the impression from MB that the B1000 code is what makes them think the unit is dead, but they seemed very vague about it - implication being they didn't really know...
Been advised by Mercedes that I need a new module.
Part number is A2088201126
Can anyone help?
Cheers
Nathan
Thanks - this sounds like a worthwhile thing to try. Do you remember if the headrests still functioned correctly when you had the problem?
I can do a new one for £300 if that's any help?
Regards
Nick
The rear head resraints are SAM operated and the pump is on when they are
B1347 is for head restraints taking too long
Not bad - where are you based?
hi all just seen this thread - did you get the car roof sorted?
To reset the roof and thing you ideally need the car to go on a STAR to find any lucking error codes.

Hi,
I took it to the local MB dealers, but they weren't very convincing on whether they had tried to reset the codes or not...
Going to try taking the module out over the weekend and see if I can see anything clearly wrong with it. Do you know where the codes are stored - are they in the roof module itself, or in a different control module somewhere?
I wondered if disconnecting and reconnecting might be enough to kick it back into action...
is the module you are talking about in the rear of the car, next to the pump on the drive side?
