Hi all,

When I got the car there was an annoying rattle from the window when I would close it and also when it was partially down driving over bumps.

Initially I tried adjusting the nuts on the bottom on the door under the bungs as has been suggested on here before but to no avail.

So, I had to take the door card off to have a look. I found the following video very useful for this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z31DTMYAMY

I didn't take the panel completely off as I didn't need to and it seemed firmly attached at the top so didn't want to force it. So I propped it open as below:

Then, to gain access to the rearmost part of the window I removed the rearmost speaker (3 torx). Behind there was this:

This pic is taken from the WIS, can't remember where I got that from at the moment.

Basically the bolt (you will need a torx socket to undo) was loose and the window glass was free to rattle around. So I lined it up properly and tightened it up. Looks like someone had been in there before and done a half ****d job of refitting it.

It was pretty easy in the end but note that you might need to buy some more clips as pretty much all of mine decided to brake! Also...when I 'tested' shutting the door after putting the panel back on I had a panic because the window didn't close up properly. After undoing it all again to try to adjust the window I then realised that because I hadn't reattached the surround around the door catch the door wasn't actually making contact with the switch on the car so it thought the door was still open! Doh! So, I put it all back together and hey presto, no rattle! :bannana:

Thought I would share just in case anyone has a rattle they can't figure out!
