W209 heated door mirrors

I have noticed that the heated mirror glass on the driver side is warmer than the passenger side.Not saying the passenger side does not heat up but hardly noticeable if it does.

Is this normal?

Does the driver side auto dimming characteristics have any bearing on mirror heat?

I'll check my car.

But.. this morning, the offside (dimming mirror) was slower to melt the ice

Hi wxmclk,

Sorry about the delay, kept meaning to check but headslapped meself everytime I forgot

Now, given the nice frosty morning today, that both mirrors warm noticeably, with the nearside a little more toasty than the offside.
