I have a 2008 build W209 CLK 200 Kompressor with the basic heater / aircon system.
Even when I turn the heater controls to minimum (18C) it still puts out heated air. As I only tend to use the aircon when I really need to, demisting, really cooling on a very hot day this is a nuisance. (fuel consumption is bad enough in town without aircon! besides, I like opening the windows all round)
Any thoughts on how to let just outside air temperature air through the system?
I have tried to reset the heater by holding the demist and recirculation buttons simultaneously for up to 10 seconds but that does not appear to work as the leds do not flash, maybe that only works on the climate control system?
