Got 8 litres of the right MB fluid, and going to attempt auto box fluid and filter change tomorrow; anything I should be cautious of? Any hint or tips appreciated!

Ta, I heard that, here's hoping they will come out!

Update later today!

Hammer the socket in the bolt to shock it. This will help.

Job done!! Was surprised how smoothly it went. All the pan holder bolts just fell out. It was pretty unmolested under there and the bolts weren't corroded. ATF definitely needed changing. Car done 125k miles, should be ok for another 100 :-)

Drained torque converter by undoing the banjo on the box and draining the cooler, worked a treat.

Thanks for your posts!

Keep us updated, I wanted to change the ATF too, so could do with some advise.
